Through the Woods...

Now that it's FINALLY December 1st....

I can admit,
I'm really feeling the Christmas spirit this year.
Sometimes the holidays seem to come and go without much noise, but this year, I feel like pulling out all the stops and truly celebrating this most wonderful time of the year.
After all,
I have a lot to celebrate.

found this in the back of my wardrobe.

Things That Are Awesome Thursday : Rocks in Museums

Things-That-Are-Awesome-Thursday, or every day, is Rocks in Museums. It sounds boring (i.e. "who wants to go look at rocks all day,") and is a little out of left field, but when you actually take the time to look, museums have some totally amazing rocks.

They have crazy variated and interesting forms and vary between the most neutral of neutral colors and most supernatural bold colors.

With the right eye, they're more than inspiring. They definitely aren't your roadside gravel.

Salted Earth and Before Breakfast Dreams

I stumbled across these photographs of Bolivia by Jérôme Galland. I'm smitten with the barren landscape and vibrant pastel colors of this distant place.
The emptiness of the horizon is almost otherworldly.

I've never spent much time thinking about Bolivia, but now I will have to add it to my ever expanding list of "must-see" places.

all photographs were taken from the photographer's website. please visit to see more of their works.

Scraps of Paper

Tickets, Advertisements, Photographs.
Ephemeral, but treasured. Old and New.
A combination to create both decor and inspiration.
These scraps tell more about me than I can explain. Each holds its own significance, even when it's not particularly significant.
I don't think I'll ever stop collaging over walls.
From Old to New, one for each home. Constantly evolving.

Summer is clearly over, but if I was a butterfly I could fly south for the winter and never see the snow.
